Here’s a simple project that can make a big statement. Use these handmade envelopes for mailing letters or for a special touch when giving a gift. A handmade envelope can convey any message you want. The power is within you.
Example: After an interview for a job that involved getting creative with recycled plastics, I mailed a thank-you letter to my potential bosses in an envelope I had made out of fused plastic bag fabric. Handmade envelopes for a strong finish!

It’s so easy. All you need is an envelope template and some pretty paper or another stiff material. You can either take apart an existing envelope and trace it (which I did here) or find a template online (the choices are endless) and print it out.
First, trace your template onto your pretty paper and cut it out.
Then fold in the appropriate places (you can check by refolding your template) and glue with a glue stick where appropriate.
And you’re done! An easy way to make a great impression.
